I have a 18 month toddler who can climb out of his cot bed do you know anywhere i can get an extension bar?secure browser
i think it is time to put him in a low bed, with the side bars that you can get so that they don't roll out when they are asleep. My second son done that at thay age, that was when we thought we should put him in a bed. He still likes to climb about still, he is now 6.

Yeah put him in a toddler bed mine has been in one since 13 months with no problems.
my daughter tried it once, and fell... she has never tried it again. threatened to do it to see my reaction, but not actually done it.... her cot is low to the ground though. if the cot is high, then just get him a bed, at least if he falls it won't be from such a high place.
It's time to get him a toddler bed.
Our son did the same thing at 18 months. Not only would he try to climb out but he refused to go to sleep period -- and when we would rock him to sleep he'd wake up immediately when we placed him in his cot.
Get a bed that is low enough to the floor that he can get out without hurting himself and put some pillows on the floor next to the bed just in case he falls out. Side rails are useless as he will just try to climb over those and potentially hurt himself.
We got this Vikare extendable bed at Ikea and our son loves it -- and he sleeps through the night!
he is probably tryignt to tell you that he doesnt want to be in a cot any more. Get him a toddler bed
i'd also say get him a big bed you dont have to get a toddler bed though both my daughter went straight into a single bed with a guard on the side. That way i wont have to get another bed later on
all my kids have been put into a normal toddler bed at around 10 months when they can climb and walk etc.cots are too small at that age and my kids used to bang limbs etc so were woken up.they were fine in bed....let your child grow up
thats the sign that he now needs to be in a bed! it will be much safer my daughter has been in a bed since she was 12 mths
its time to ditch the cot and buy a toddler bed, before he hurts himself.
Put him in a toddler bed. My daugther is 18 months and has been in one since she was 1. She love it!
