I used to know how to do this but I have forgotten. I hate when a number calls that I don't recognize so it's helpful to be able to reach their voicemail and hear the name before I decide to call back. Please Help.

depending on what carrier you have. Don't think that you can directly get to there voicemail without the other person having the phone completely off. there is a way that you can send a message though without having the phone ring on the other end. If you have SPRINT that is.. When you listen to voicemail there is an option to send msg from the voicemail all you do is put in there phone number and then a brief message and it sends it. is this cell phones or just home phones??cuz cell, you have to have it off which leads to voice mail..
