To extend a building, how do you find the exact corner measurement for a 14 foot extension?

I'm not sure what your asking. If you want to know how to make sure the new addition is square you can use the 4/5/6 rule. At the corner measure on one side 4 feet, inches, yards what ever. On the 90 degree side measure 5 feet or the same unit as before. Now measure diagonally from point to point and this measurement should be 6 feet ect. Adjust the corner until it is 6 and this will be square. Hard to explain, simple to do.

do you have blue prints? If not, measure to the existing building from the property line and then measure out 14 feet. To check, measure from the corner of the property line to the existing building, add the length of the building plus 14 feet. this is assuming that the interior measurement will minus the thickness of both exterior walls.

Its a matter of 6 meuserments, length, width, and corner to corner (X) If there all the same your roof will go much smoother
Several ways to do this- measure out 14 on both side in the App, location, and set a stake then measure the X and reset the stakes until they are exactly the same- Today, use a Laser set up tight to the house, and point it at the Stake, set up 14 feet away. Sq it all up like I mention, also the Triangle 4-5-6, or 6-8-10 works.
